Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is James. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2025, but practicing clinical social work since May 2011. I work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds with various mental and behavioral health issues. My approach is effective, yet caring, direct, and supportive. Many clients have reported finding their path to healing by engaging in treatment with me. I can be your resource in finding relief from mental, behavioral, and emotional stress.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is meeting you where you are, listening to your concerns, and affirming your motivation to make healthy changes built on your strengths. My approach is rooted in supporting clients in developing self awareness, reinforcing self determination, and empowerment that enhances self control. I utilize cognitive coaching to identify effective implementation of coping skills that results in the reduction and remission of symptoms. Many clients report improved thinking, feeling, and living in a better spiritually and healthy mental condition.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to leave the session feeling heard evidenced by a mild reduction of symptoms through identifying the stressors and upsetting thinking and behavior patterns. I will help you develop goals that will improve your emotional control, mental health, and increased skills to manage life stressors more effectively.
