Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with multiple behavioral health challenges. I completed master level education as a social worker with completion of doctorial studies in human services that specializes in trauma related issues of substance use, mood disorders and relationship issues.

My approach to therapy

My philosophy is simple: everyone has the answers to any problem that troubles them. Together, we can brainstorm your concerns, and I'll help you discover the solutions you need to create meaningful change in your life. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy with a spiritual approach to help you discover change. I draw from multiple evidence-based practices and modify them to fit your unique needs and goals. I use active listening with parroting and role playing to help you hear and understand solutions as you discover them. I encourage new coping mechanisms to help you acquire and maintain changes for a more peaceful existence.

What you can expect from me

I use the first session to get to know my clients and develop a good therapeutic relationship of trust and understanding as I gather important details of their goal and expectation of therapy so that together we can establish a positive direction and outcome measurements of progress throughout their therapy.
