Great to meet you!

I have over 20 years of experience as a psychiatrist. I am curious, open minded, analytical, and creative in my approach.

I am board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I graduated summa cum laude from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas (1994), and earned my Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City (1999). I completed my psychiatric residency at the University of Arizona Department of Psychiatry in 2003.

Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to helping individuals across a wide range of settings—including community clinics, chemical dependency programs, inpatient hospitals, and private practice. I’ve had the privilege of practicing in Tucson, AZ (2003–2010), Hays, KS (2010–2012), and Minneapolis, MN, where I’ve been based since 2013. I’ve also served as an associate professor of psychiatry at both the University of Arizona and the University of Minnesota.

My approach to therapy

I integrate both medication management and psychotherapy in my practice, taking a holistic approach to understanding and treating each individual. I believe every person carries a unique story shaped by their life experiences, and I strive to honor that in our work together. My goal is to help relieve mental anguish and support each patient in achieving their highest possible quality of life.

What you can expect from me
