Great to meet you!

My name is Jamez Bash (she/her), I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has extensive specialized training and experience in treating trauma survivors of all backgrounds. I am also a Sickle Cell Warrior and focus on treating clients with chronic pain/illness and their caregivers. One last thing, if you happen to have ADHD- you probably found my profile for a reason. I especially enjoy working with clients who struggle with executive function on top of symptoms of trauma and chronic illness. Tell me your goals; I'll help you reach them. Share your pain; I will hold it.

My approach to therapy

My intention during every session is to be fully present with you for the entirety of our time together. I employ evidence-based practices including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills, Attachment Styles, EMDR, and Feminist Interventions.

What you can expect from me

I know that taking the step to look for a therapist is a big one. You should be so very proud of yourself for asking for help. We don't always need to be strong, we need to be seen and heard. Living with ADHD, trauma, and chronic illness often means being dismissed by those around you. If you allow me, I hope to carry these burdens alongside you.
