Great to meet you!

Finding the right therapist matters. If you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or frustrated that the same problems keep showing up in your life, therapy should do more than give you a place to talk—it should help you make meaningful progress.

I'm Dr. Jami Kulkin, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 30 years of experience helping adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, and sexuality. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I'll ask questions that help you see things differently, challenge patterns that aren't working, and help you develop practical tools you can use outside of therapy.

I don't believe every client needs the same approach. Depending on your goals, I may integrate CBT, EMDR, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, or other evidence-based techniques to create a treatment plan that's tailored to you.

I hold a Master's degree in Psychology, a Doctorate in Naturopathy for Healthcare Professionals, and certifications in hypnotherapy and meditation. I also have extensive experience working with concerns related to low desire, kink, and consensual non-monogamy.

If you're looking for a therapist who is engaged, honest, and focused on helping you create real change—not just talk about it—I look forward to working with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is flexible, collaborative, and tailored to you. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions—what works best depends on your personality, goals, and comfort level.

For some clients, we stay in traditional talk therapy, sometimes incorporating books or reflective questions between sessions. For others, we might use behavioral techniques like journaling or goal-setting. I also integrate tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, somatic work, mindfulness, meditation, and hypnotherapy—when there’s interest and it feels like a good fit.

Whether you're looking for insight, structure, healing, or just a space to breathe and process, I meet you where you are and support the path that feels most meaningful for you.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a compassionate, collaborative space where healing doesn’t have to mean reliving all the pain. Together, we focus on understanding what’s at the root of your struggles while building insight, resilience, and tools that support real-life change. My goal is always to help you feel more in control, more connected to yourself, and more equipped to function in ways that feel better and more aligned with who you are. Every session is a step toward greater clarity, relief, and personal growth.
