Great to meet you!

Life can feel overwhelming, complicated, and sometimes just plain messy—and you don’t have to navigate it all on your own. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment, and feel genuinely heard and understood.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts with over 14 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families through life’s challenges. I earned my Doctorate in Social Work from Simmons University and have worked in a variety of settings, including community-based treatment, addiction counseling, and pediatric primary care.

I have extensive experience helping children and families navigate anxiety, parenting challenges, family conflict, life transitions, and parent-child relationship difficulties. My experiences across different settings have given me a broad perspective and a practical, flexible approach to therapy. I believe that understanding the whole person—including their relationships, environment, and life experiences—is an important part of meaningful change.

I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, supported without judgment, and genuinely heard. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), while tailoring treatment to each client's individual needs and goals.

My goal is to help you recognize the strengths you already have, develop practical tools for navigating life's challenges, and feel more confident in your ability to move forward. Come as you are—in our sessions, we’ll work to figure out the rest together.

My approach to therapy

I bring warmth, authenticity, and a genuine sense of curiosity to my sessions. I want my clients to feel like they are talking to a real person—not someone sitting across from them simply checking boxes or looking for the “right” answer. I work hard to create a space where people can be honest about what is really going on, even when it feels messy, uncomfortable, or difficult to put into words. One of my biggest strengths is my ability to meet people where they are. I recognize that everyone comes into therapy with different experiences, personalities, needs, and goals, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Sometimes therapy means processing something deeply, and sometimes it means figuring out how to get through the week, have a difficult conversation, set a boundary, or take one small step forward. I also bring a lot of experience working with children, adolescents, parents, and families, which has taught me to look beyond the individual and consider the relationships and environments that influence them. I’m comfortable working through complex family dynamics, life transitions, parenting challenges, anxiety, stress, and the many things that can make life feel overwhelming. Most importantly, I strive to bring compassion without judgment. We can sit with the hard stuff together, but I also believe there should be room for humor, honesty, and even a little imperfection in therapy. My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and hopefully a little more equipped to handle whatever comes next.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been going on in your life, and what you’re hoping will be different as a result of being here. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what you need from therapy—that’s something we can figure out together. You can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can ask questions, share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and get a sense of who I am and how I work. We’ll talk about your background and current concerns, and begin identifying the things that feel most important to you right now. We’ll also start thinking about practical ways we can work toward your goals. Sometimes the first session is about making sense of what’s happening; sometimes it’s about figuring out where to start. There’s no expectation that we solve everything in one session. Most importantly, the first session is an opportunity for us to see if we’re a good fit. Therapy is a relationship, and it’s important that you feel comfortable with the person sitting on the other side of the screen. Come as you are, bring whatever you’re ready to talk about, and we’ll figure out the rest together.
