Great to meet you!

I believe therapy is most effective when you feel heard, understood, and respected. My person-centered approach is tailored to your experiences, strengths, goals, and needs. Informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I offer practical tools to manage distress, challenge unhelpful thoughts, regulate emotions, build coping skills, and improve relationships. I strive to create a warm, supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can work collaboratively. Whether you’re facing anxiety, life transitions, emotional challenges, or feeling stuck, we can build on your strengths and create meaningful change.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, specializing in mindfulness-based approaches rooted in DBT and CBT. Therapy can help you process difficult experiences, manage emotions, challenge unhelpful thoughts, build coping skills, and create meaningful change in a supportive, nonjudgmental space.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to have everything figured out. Whether you’re overwhelmed, anxious, navigating change, or feeling stuck, therapy offers space to feel heard and understood. I’ll meet you without judgment and work at your pace. If my approach feels like a good fit, I invite you to reach out.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a collaborative and supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach is person-centered and individualized, recognizing that no two people or situations are exactly alike. I take the time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals so that we can develop a treatment approach that feels meaningful and achievable for you.

I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while incorporating mindfulness and other therapeutic strategies when appropriate. Together, we can explore patterns of thinking and behavior, develop healthier coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and work toward creating meaningful change.

Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my practice. I strive to create an environment that is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and authentic, where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a place to better understand yourself and move forward with greater confidence.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any challenges or concerns you may be experiencing. I’ll also ask questions about your background and current circumstances so I can better understand your individual needs.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before your first session. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can be open and honest at your own pace. We’ll work together to identify goals for therapy and begin developing a plan that feels appropriate for you.

Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the work ahead. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your voice and experiences will help guide our work together.
