Great to meet you!

I’m Jamie, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I bring seven years of counseling experience, along with personal understanding of navigating life’s challenges. I work with adolescents and adults in person and through telehealth. My areas of focus include trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, anxiety and panic, depression, women’s mental health, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, and substance use concerns.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should fit you, your experiences, needs, strengths, and goals. My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative, creating space for you to feel heard and accepted while also helping you take steps toward change. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered and strengths-based approaches. Faith-based counseling is available if you would like to include it. Together, we can explore patterns, build practical coping skills, and work through difficult experiences at a pace that respects your comfort and readiness.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, some of your background, and what you hope will be different with support. You don’t need to have everything figured out or share every difficult detail right away. There will be room to ask questions, discuss what feels helpful to you, and begin identifying goals together. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard and clearer about our next steps.
