Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jamie Harrison, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with individuals ages 6 to 99, as well as couples and families, who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward but are ready for something to change.

You might be experiencing anxiety, depression, overthinking, emotional ups and downs, relationship stress, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. Sometimes it’s not just one issue it’s a combination of life transitions, stress, or patterns that feel difficult to break.

When working with children and adolescents, I focus on helping them build tools to manage anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, anger, impulsive behaviors, and life changes in ways that feel supportive and age-appropriate.

With adults, I support clients in navigating life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, negative thinking patterns, self-esteem struggles, and challenges with connection helping them develop practical skills to feel more grounded and in control.

When working with couples and families, I help improve communication, strengthen connection, and navigate conflict, life changes, and transitions in healthier, more effective ways.

In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I take a compassionate and practical approach, helping you not only process what you’re going through, but also build tools you can use in your everyday life.

I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and therapy with me is collaborative—we move at your pace, focus on what matters most to you, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I work with individuals (ages 6 to 99), couples, and families who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and understood without judgment.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused approaches, motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, problem-solving strategies, and psychoeducation to help clients better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This allows us to not only process what you’re going through, but also develop practical tools for real-life change.

For children and adolescents, therapy focuses on building age-appropriate skills to manage anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, anger, impulsive behaviors, and life transitions. With adults, I support navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life changes, negative thinking patterns, and challenges with connection helping you feel more grounded, confident, and in control.

When working with couples and families, I focus on improving communication, strengthening connection, and navigating conflict, stress, and transitions in healthier, more effective ways.

Together, we work to build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop strategies that support long-term emotional and behavioral well-being. Therapy is tailored to your unique needs, paced in a way that feels supportive, and focused on creating meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a supportive, compassionate space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. We’ll begin by talking through what’s bringing you to therapy. Whether that’s anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

This initial session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll start identifying goals and begin creating a plan that feels meaningful and tailored to your needs.

My approach is collaborative and paced in a way that feels comfortable for you. I integrate evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, trauma-focused approaches, and psychoeducation to begin introducing practical tools that can support emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, and problem-solving in your daily life.

Over time, clients often gain greater insight into their thoughts and behaviors, build confidence, improve relationships, and feel more equipped to manage stress, anxiety, and life’s challenges. My goal is to help you create lasting, meaningful change that feels aligned with who you are and where you want to go.
