Great to meet you!

You know something needs to change. Maybe anxiety is running your days, or something from the past keeps surfacing unexpectedly. Whatever brought you here, I'm Jamie, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience helping adolescents, adults, and seniors navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life's turning points.

My approach to therapy

Our sessions are collaborative and move at your pace. I draw on a range of approaches tailored to what you need. When anxiety or low mood is the focus, we examine thoughts that have started to feel like facts and practice relating to them differently. When trauma is present, we work through it carefully, using approaches grounded in how the brain processes difficult experience. We also build practical skills for regulating emotions, communicating in relationships, and staying present through hard moments. Throughout, the work is strengths-based: I am more interested in what already works and how to build on it than in cataloguing what is wrong.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we slow down. You share what brought you here and I listen without judgment. There is no pressure to arrive with it all figured out. Over time, many clients notice their thinking gets quieter, their relationships feel steadier, and they begin to trust their own resilience. I hope you leave our first conversation feeling genuinely heard.
