Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Jamie Houseman. I graduated from Aurora University Master of Social Work Program in 2010 and became a licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2018. I have a wide variety of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. My areas of specialty are in interventions related to depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma.

My approach to therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Patient-Centered Therapy and Motivational Interviewing (MI) are my main therapy approaches however, I am always learning more modalities to use as I continue in my career. Clients can expect patience, kindness, a listening ear, and a smile at every session.

What you can expect from me

Overall goals for sessions are to learn healthy emotion identification and healthy emotion expression, decrease any symptoms present for the client, creating coping skills and learning how to set healthy boundaries to improve relationships outside of session. I offer a positive personality to connect with clients, kindness, and patience to help with healing.
