Great to meet you!

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and client-centered care. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that our ability to accept and navigate change, life’s one constant, is central to mental health and overall well-being. I specialize in treating grief, anxiety, depression, self-harm / injury, and worry, and I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to heal and grow. Reducing stigma around mental illness and encouraging kindness and self-compassion are essential values in my practice. I take a holistic approach, integrating therapy, medication management, and lifestyle strategies to meet the unique needs of each person. My Caribbean heritage and diverse clinical background shape my appreciation for cultural sensitivity in mental health care. Outside of my practice, I find balance through exercise, yoga, and mindfulness. I am also a Zumba instructor and enjoy traveling, exploring new experiences, and spending quality time with my family.

My approach to therapy

I believe that psychiatry is an art and a science. My focus is on symptom management. My approach is always client centered and requires active participation to build that therapeutic alliance.
