Great to meet you!

Building a strong therapeutic relationship is my number one goal. I have my master's degree in clinical psychology and I have devoted over 18 years working in the mental health field.

We are wired for connection, so I prioritize relationships with my family and friends. I am married with a blended family of two biological daughters and two bonus sons. They inspire and motivate me daily. I love learning, and am always seeking ways to better myself. Fitness and being active (especially outside) are very important to me. I am a Christian and welcome the opportunity to incorporate a faith-based approach for clients who share the Christian faith and desire that for their treatment.

My approach to therapy

My personality is a good balance between fun and energetic, and empathetic and warm. I strive to create a safe space for you to be authentically yourself, where you won't feel judged. My desire is to help you break any chains of guilt and shame and live with more peace and joy. I have a background in sports and coaching, and I will often take on that role to challenge you in a caring way while pushing you toward growth and positive change.

I am very knowledgeable in neuroscience, and I like to educate my clients on the brain-stress response. I am also very passionate about healthy living; I use various holistic methods to stay disease-free. The mind-body connection is very real, so I like to educate clients around natural methods for combating the body's stress response.

What you can expect from me

I am a firm believer in intentionality. Nothing can change or be different if we don't intentionally know what we are working on or focusing on. After each session you can expect to walk away with some tangible take aways for you to intentionally focus on before our next session.
