As a PMHNP-BC who specializes in autism, complex cases, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD/trauma, schizophrenia/psychosis disorders, and substance use, I've built my practice around understanding that every person's mental health journey is unique—especially when multiple conditions interact or when traditional approaches haven't worked.

I also provide comprehensive treatment for depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, and bipolar disorder, always with an understanding that these conditions often overlap and influence each other in complex ways. What I want you to know is this: your experiences are valid, your struggles make sense in the context of your life, and there's no such thing as being "too much" for treatment.

Whether you're masking autistic traits, battling compulsive behaviors, managing intense emotions, processing trauma, questioning reality, or struggling with substances, I meet you exactly where you are without trying to force you into a predetermined mold. My approach combines evidence-based treatments with deep respect for your individual needs and experiences.

You deserve a provider who doesn't see complexity as a problem to solve, but as a roadmap to understanding how to best support your unique path to wellness.

My approach to therapy

I provide care founded on the conviction that every individual deserves treatment delivered with compassion, dignity, and clinical excellence. My philosophy is straightforward: I am here to listen, understand, encourage, and offer evidence-based treatment crafted specifically for you.

I refuse rushed appointments and reducing people to diagnostic categories. Instead, I invest time in understanding you as a complete person, your background, current difficulties, natural strengths, and wellness goals. I foster an inviting, nonjudgmental environment where you can share freely without concern of being dismissed or misunderstood.

When it comes to medication management, I lead with transparency and partnership. I review recommendations thoroughly, clarify why particular treatments may benefit you, and remain forthright about potential side effects and realistic timelines for progress. I want you feeling empowered to pose questions, voice reservations, and assume an active role in every treatment decision we navigate.

At times, uncovering the ideal approach requires experimentation and careful refinement. I am patient and committed to accompanying you through that entire process, acknowledging gains and working through obstacles as a cohesive team. I monitor your response attentively and remain flexible in making changes when the situation warrants. Your perspective is not merely valued. It is essential to keeping your care advancing in the right direction.

I explore sleep quality, daily stressors, relationship patterns, and self-care practices, recognizing these elements are deeply intertwined with mental health outcomes. My purpose is steering you toward symptom relief, restored balance, and renewed hope, building a life that feels meaningful and authentically yours. You deserve empathetic, individually tailored care, and I am wholly dedicated to delivering it across every stage of your journey.

What you can expect from me

Our first appointment is designed to be comprehensive yet comfortable, establishing the groundwork for a productive partnership. I create an environment where you can express yourself freely without fear of judgment or dismissal.

We will start by exploring what has been happening with your mental health—the symptoms you are experiencing, when they began, what triggers or intensifies them, and how they are affecting your quality of life. I want to understand the full extent of your struggles and their impact on work, relationships, self-care, and everyday functioning.

We will go over your history, including previous mental health treatment, medications you have tried, and any hospitalizations or crisis interventions. I will also ask about your physical health, current medications, substance use, and family psychiatric history, as these factors play a meaningful role in shaping treatment planning.

When discussing medication management, I emphasize openness and collaboration. I will outline options suited to your particular symptoms, reviewing benefits and potential limitations. We will talk through how medications work, realistic timelines for improvement, common side effects, and how we will track your progress. I welcome every question and concern—your input is vital to each decision we make. I will also address any worries or misconceptions about psychiatric medication, because I want you feeling thoroughly informed and confident.

Beyond medication, we will explore wellness factors including sleep, physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and social connections. I stay accessible between appointments, and we will arrange follow-ups to ensure ongoing support.

By our session's end, you will have a personalized treatment plan and the assurance of a compassionate provider genuinely dedicated to your mental health journey. From the first appointment, my goal is for you to leave feeling more hopeful than when you walked in.
