Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jamie Preuss (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Colorado with over 13 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating depression, trauma (including complex and generational trauma), anxiety, parenting stress, perinatal and postpartum mental health, and ADHD-related challenges.

I graduated from the University of Denver with a Master of Social work degree in 2011. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of roles—from early childhood, individual and family therapy to program leadership and clinical supervision.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, collaborative, and rooted in respect for your unique story and strengths. I believe that healing happens in safe, authentic connection, and I work to create a nonjudgmental space where you can explore, grow, and move toward the life you want.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Attachment-based approaches. I tailor treatment to fit your needs, whether we're working through trauma, navigating parenting stress, processing grief, or building tools to manage anxiety or life transitions.

What you can expect from our first session

As a trauma-informed therapist, I pay close attention to nervous system responses and emotional safety, and I welcome your full self into the process—including parts of you that may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain. Together, we’ll set goals that feel meaningful to you and move at a pace that honors both insight and readiness.

Clients often share that they leave sessions feeling more grounded, understood, and empowered. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner strengths, build practical tools for navigating life’s challenges, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
