Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with individuals navigating mental health concerns, substance use disorders, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an Educational Specialist degree, and I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, helping individuals better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and create meaningful change. I believe everyone has the capacity for growth, and I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is rooted in person-centered therapy, with an emphasis on collaboration, empathy, and meeting clients where they are. I incorporate motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral techniques to help individuals explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying opportunities for growth. I believe meaningful change begins with self-awareness and understanding, rather than judgment or pressure. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, recognize their strengths, and develop the confidence to move toward the life they want to create.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and understanding what brought you to counseling. We will explore your current concerns, relevant background, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I recognize that opening up to someone new can feel uncomfortable, so I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you can share at your own pace. We will work together to identify your goals and begin developing an approach that reflects your individual needs, strengths, and experiences. Above all, I want you to leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and comfortable taking the next steps in your counseling journey.
