Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jamie Sabo, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, behavioral concerns, self-esteem, family issues, and different types of life transitions. I know how can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it can be difficult to know how to move forward when your thoughts, emotions, or relationships feel hard to manage. In therapy together, my goal is to provide a warm, accepting, and nonjudgmental environment where you can slow down, feel supported, and explore what may be getting in the way of the life you want. Let's work through it all together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each person’s needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and humanistic therapies to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and patterns. In session, we may work on building coping skills for anxiety or depression, improving self-esteem, strengthening communication, setting healthier boundaries, practicing assertiveness, managing stress, and developing greater self-awareness and confidence. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership where you feel heard, respected, and supported while also gaining practical tools that help create meaningful change outside of session.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and creating a space where you feel comfortable and supported. We will talk about current concerns, personal history, strengths, goals, and what you hope will feel different through our work together. This may include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, behavioral concerns, family conflict, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty navigating a life transition. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and clearer about the next steps in the therapy process.
