Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm so happy you're here. Reaching out for help is a big, brave step- so, pat yourself on the back! Change is scary. But feeling stuck is even scarier. I'm here to help you navigate the good days and the not-so-good days. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with advanced training in CBT, DBT and ACT. I also work from a relational lens which means to me, the therapist/client relationship is more important than the actual techniques used. I like to meet my clients " where they are at" and collaborate as a team to help you reach your goals. Contrary to stigma, engaging in therapy doesn't mean you're 'broken' or 'damaged'. It means you're open to being vulnerable and gaining self-awareness to ultimately improve your life.

My approach to therapy

My ideal client is someone authentic and motivated to figure out who they are and what's important to them. I typically work with female-identifying individuals between the ages of 18 and 50. I use humor, empowerment and strength-building to help my clients identify and process emotions, navigate daily life stressors, build self-esteem and foster self-compassion. I have 13 years of experience working with people through depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, and borderline personality disorder. I also work with college students and health professionals to explore identity ( including gender/sexuality), values and relationships. Most recently, my lived experience with Infertility, IVF, birth trauma and the NICU, has led me to connect to women that also face these issues.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I'll inquire about what brings you into therapy, explore past history and collaborate to discuss treatment goals. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where we can explore your strengths, your values, and your vulnerabilities. I want therapy to be a place where you feel heard and understood while encouraged and challenged to explore patterns of thinking or behaviors that are no longer serving you.
