Jamie Smith

I’m Jamie. I’ve been doing this work for 12 years and I still love it. I specialize in working with women, LGBTQ+ folks, and especially trans and gender-diverse people. I’m sex-positive and kink-aware, you won’t have to start from scratch with me or justify your lifestyle. I don’t pathologize. If I need to understand something about your experience, I’ll ask because I’m interested, not because I’m judging.

If you feel like your issue is “too weird” for therapy, we just might be a good fit.

I’m comfortable talking about grief, identity, sexuality, kink, and the stuff most people change the subject on. I don’t flinch. I meet you where you are.

I’m person-centered, which means I follow you, not a textbook. I show up as a real person in the room with you. I’m not going to diagnose you in the first ten minutes or hand you a worksheet. I’m going to listen.

I draw from trauma-informed, supportive, and client-centered practices. I do long-term care. I’m not going to see you for six sessions and send you on your way. If you need someone who will see this through with you, that’s me.

I want therapy to feel like a place where you don’t have to perform. You can just be.

We talk. That’s it. You tell me what’s going on and I listen. You don’t need to have your story organized or know what you want to work on yet. You can’t do therapy wrong.

Your first day is just about you, whatever you need to say, I’m here for it. Together we’ll figure out what support actually looks like for you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, not evaluated.
