Great to meet you!

I earned my Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology in 2011 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies and Child Development from Arizona State University in 2005. I have been in private practice since 2011. My business name is Inspired Minds Psychological Servies. I have had many clinical and professional experiences that help guide my treatment. I have had internships and Post-Doctoral placements at community mental health facilities, private practices, forensic counseling and habilitation and respite facilities working with special needs children and adults.

My approach to therapy

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, which helps create healthier brain patterns by challenging unhelpful thought patterns and replacing them with more constructive ones. This approach transforms negative thinking, fosters healthier habits, raises self-awareness and strengthens self-regulation. My goal is to support clients in recognizing their positive qualities, building self-esteem and fostering better mental health.

What you can expect from me

The initial session is called an intake session, which is about an hour long. This is an interview between the therapist and client, where each can assess whether we are a good fit for one another. For clients 12 and under, I meet with the parents only. I will meet with the child at the next scheduled session. Children age 12 and older will meet with me first, and then parents will join for the final 20 minutes to complete the full interview.
