Great to meet you!

Psychoanalytic therapy is often maligned but it remains for me one of the few treatments that seeks to address the innermost, often hidden, parts of ourselves. Psychological symptoms are not only a source of suffering, they are also a message that speaks to desires, conflicts, and pain that comes alive when spoken to a professional listener. The flip-side of anxiety is always a passionate dream that has not been encountered as such. The intimacy of speaking and listening is rare and a gift.

My approach to therapy

Psychodynamic treatment weaves a rich texture of past and present, fantasy and reality, working in great detail on one's life. Career anxieties, difficulties with feeling at ease with sexuality, lingering disappointments and anger, can fall away.

I see children age 2-13 years in play therapy. I see adolescents and adults in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.

What you can expect from me

I am a careful listener, but I don't shy away from being direct, giving advice at times, or my opinion.
