Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Lindo, and it is a pleasure to meet you! I began my career as a school psychology with the hopes of helping children and adolescents cope through times of stress. My overall goals and passions can be summed up as an agent for change. I hope to help clients develop the skills necessary to be effective agents in their own lives. I attended St. John's University for both my M.S. and PsyD. Throughout my practicum and professional experience, I have worked with a variety of needs, with a primary focus on anxiety-related disorders and depression.

My approach to therapy

I believe in being an active listener and problem-solver. However, my goal is for you to take an active role in the decision-making process. Our therapy sessions should feel comfortable enough to express your thoughts, concerns, or worries while also providing a space to break through barriers of resistance that are preventing you from moving forward and functioning successfully. We will explore all aspects of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while acknowledging the importance of your values. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing to help you achieve your goals.

What you can expect from me

After a session, you should expect to walk away with a focus, challenge, or practice for the week tailored to pushing you towards your goals that we collectively define and target.
