Depression and Relationship Issues

Great to meet you!

I am Jamula (Jamalah) Taylor; a woman, a mother, and a therapist. I became a therapist to help people who look like me to be okay with being vulnerable and to support their healing. I want you to know that your past doesn't define your present or your future. It was Vivekananda who wrote, “whatever we are now, is the result of our acts and thoughts of the past; and whatever we shall be in the future, will be the result of what we think and do now.”

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am a member of Growth and Change Counseling. We understand that our mental health conditions are related to the break down in our relationships and that we can’t simply make depression, anxiety, or other problems go away by simply treating the symptoms. We have to get down to the roots of the problems in order to help people effectively heal.

What you can expect from our first session

“Sometimes the best thing may be the hardest thing for you to do.” In our discomfort, we find the motivation to change. I am here to walk alongside you on your journey of healing. At Growth and Change Counseling, we have a foundational approach we take all of our clients through, regardless of which therapist you work with. It is this foundation that gives us our reputation that people experience real help real quick. There is no problem I am not willing and able to face with you.
