Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Utah. I have worked in the human services field for over 25 years. I have worked in: child welfare, medical social work, private practice, and crisis/emergency mental health services. I received my bachelor’s degree in sociology from Southern Utah University in 2000. I went on to complete a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University in 2008.

I have been married to my husband for 30 years. We struggled for 10 years with infertility, and with the help of In-vitro and adoption, we have 3 teenage daughters who are as beautiful and amazing as they are exhausting! Being their mother is my greatest blessing and truly a joy. Working with couples and families continues to be a passion of mine.

My approach to therapy

I have a direct, solution-focused, non-judgmental approach and embrace all walks of life. I've learned over the years, as I have struggled with my personal journey with deep depression, heavy anxiety, and panic, especially after years of infertility and then the loss of a child, that it is important for me to meet you where you are, and provide a safe, supportive environment where you are embraced for who you are where growth, healing, and change can happen.

I have worked with individuals struggling with many different challenges. I seem to gravitate most to working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, faith crisis, LGBTQ issues, and marital challenges.

What you can expect from me

I want to empower my clients to gain insight so they can bring more balance to their lives, see past their current challenges and difficult past, and make lasting positive changes. I want them to live the life they deserve.
