Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with a PhD from the University of North Texas. I grew up in Northern Illinois, moving to Texas for graduate training. I’ve worked at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, at the South Texas VA in San Antonio, at Joint Base San Antonio military medical center and at several independent and assisted living facilities. I received fellowship training in Neuropsychology at Brooke Army Medical Center and Neuroimaging at UT Health in San Antonio. I work exclusively by telehealth, providing individual adult therapy for depressive and anxiety disorders, stress and life transitions. My treatment is individualized, incorporating aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy within a biopsychosocial framework. Please contact me for an appointment or for further information.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is calm, patient and empathetic. I will assist you in overcoming barriers to achieve your life goals using quality, research-proven therapy. My preferred therapeutic approach is present-centered, solution focused and integrative. Areas of specialization include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness techniques and treatment of grief and trauma. I will integrate the most effective therapeutic approaches for your unique situation to help you achieve lasting change.

What you can expect from me

After a session, you can expect to have an increased understanding of the neurobiological and psychological bases of your symptoms and difficulties. You will have learned techniques that you can use in your daily life to achieve your goals. As you make progress toward your goals, you can expect to experience a renewed sense of hope, accomplishment and empowerment.
