Great to meet you!

I live by a this motto: When you love what you do and do what you love, you never work a day in your life! My 36+ years as a psychotherapist has never been experienced as 'work' because it is both my vocation (a job) AND my avocation (something about which I am passionate). I consider it a privilege to journey along side my clients, to encourage and provide insight into how and why life is unfolding as it is.

My approach to therapy

I have three mantras which inform me as a therapist. (1) When you listen to someone you cannot help, you already have. (2) No one cares what you know until they know that you care. And (3) Therapy is like throwing up ... No one wants to do it, but everyone feels better after they do!

What you can expect from me

Building a positive and safe therapeutic relationship is the most important focus initially. I feel that I do both 'Brush Fire' and 'Onion Skin' therapy. Brushfire =s 'What's going on right now? and what do we need to do about it.' And Onion Skin =s 'Let's gently look a little deeper into why things are as they appear to be.'
