Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Jana Moore, M.S., LPC, and I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges while building on their strengths. I currently serve as a school counselor and bring more than a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and educators in educational settings.

I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M University–Commerce and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and school-related difficulties.

My approach to counseling is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe healing and growth happen when people feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful goals.

Whether you're navigating a difficult season, managing anxiety, adjusting to change, or seeking personal growth, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning we work together to identify your goals and create a plan that fits your unique needs and experiences.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based approaches to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools for everyday life. I focus on helping clients build resilience, improve coping skills, strengthen relationships, increase self-awareness, and navigate life's challenges with confidence.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem issues, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and school-related concerns. My goal is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and creating positive, lasting change.

No matter where you are in your journey, I am committed to meeting you with compassion, respect, and support as we work toward your goals together.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe sharing your experiences, concerns, and goals.

During our first session, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your personal history, and identify the challenges you'd like to address. We'll also talk about your strengths, support systems, and what you hope to gain from the counseling process. Together, we'll begin developing goals that are meaningful and realistic for you.

I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and there is no pressure to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My role is to listen, support, and help you develop practical tools and strategies that promote growth, healing, and positive change.

Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, or other challenges, my hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and encouraged about the path ahead.
