Great to meet you!

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t knowing that you’re struggling—it’s trying to understand why certain experiences still have such a strong hold on you. Anxiety may keep you constantly anticipating what could go wrong, grief can change the way you move through everyday life, or trauma may continue affecting your emotions, relationships, and sense of safety long after the experience itself has passed. I provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on anxiety, trauma and PTSD, stress management, grief and loss, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. I also support clients navigating depression, family and relationship challenges, cultural and ethnic concerns, women’s issues, and identity exploration when those experiences are part of the bigger picture. As a psychologist with eight years of experience, my goal is to create an affirming, open-minded space where you feel understood as a whole person and supported in building a life that feels more grounded, authentic, and manageable.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing starts with understanding what your experiences have taught you about yourself, your relationships, and the world around you—then deciding what you want to carry forward. Anxiety, grief, trauma, identity concerns, or chronic stress may be what initially brings you to therapy, while depression, family dynamics, cultural experiences, or relationship patterns can add important layers to what you’re feeling. We’ll explore those connections without reducing you to a diagnosis. I draw from Humanistic Therapy to create a genuine, accepting relationship, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you process difficult experiences and build healthier coping skills, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify thought and behavior patterns that may be reinforcing distress. I may also use Attachment-Based Therapy to explore patterns in relationships and Motivational Interviewing when you feel stuck, uncertain, or ready for change but unsure how to begin. My approach is collaborative and solution-oriented, while still making room for the deeper experiences that deserve to be understood.

What you can expect from me

You don’t need to come into therapy with everything figured out or with the “right” words to explain what you’re feeling. During our first few sessions, we’ll talk about what brought you in, what has been most difficult, what feels important to understand, and what you hope will be different. Together, we’ll create goals that reflect your needs, values, identity, relationships, and pace. You can expect me to be affirming, open-minded, and practical, while also asking thoughtful questions that help you recognize patterns and consider new possibilities. Progress may look like feeling less controlled by anxiety, processing grief or trauma with greater support, feeling safer in your relationships, managing stress more effectively, reconnecting with yourself during depression, or becoming more confident in your identity and choices. My hope is that therapy gives you both a place to feel fully seen and the tools to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
