Great to meet you!

Janae believes every person carries within them the capacity to grow, heal, and step into a fuller sense of who they are — even when life feels overwhelming. She has a heart for those who are hurting and is passionate about walking alongside them through that process. Her hope is that through a warm, safe, and nurturing space, individuals can feel truly seen and understood, gaining the self-awareness and tools they need to experience more fulfillment in their lives.

My approach to therapy

Janae has experience working with clients across the lifespan — children, teens, and adults — through individual and, when helpful, group counseling. She has worked with people from varying backgrounds and life circumstances, including those navigating anxiety/depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, relationship or life transitions, and other personal struggles. She believes that in order for people to be well, it's important for them to understand what drives their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. To that end, she works to build a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their stories, understand the roots of their struggles, and begin their journey toward healing and wellness.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, Janae focuses on getting to know you — your history, your concerns, and what's brought you to therapy — at a pace that feels comfortable. It's a chance for you to share your story and for Janae to begin understanding how she can best support you. You can expect to leave the first session feeling heard, with a clearer sense of what to expect from the therapeutic process moving forward.
