Great to meet you!
Jane Anulika Akponye, PhD, CAMF, CDVF, LMFT Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | Los Angeles & Riverside Counties, CA
Life can take unexpected turns that leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain. I’m here to help you navigate those moments with compassion and understanding. I hold a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and advanced training from California Baptist University in Riverside, CA. With many years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, my goal is to support you in rediscovering calm, confidence, and connection.
I work with children, teens, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, and relationship stress. My approach is collaborative and flexible, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution‐focused strategies with creative tools like storytelling and music to make each session meaningful and personal.
I also specialize in anger management, domestic violence intervention, and premarital and marital counseling. Whether you’re beginning a relationship or trying to rebuild one, we’ll focus on communication, trust, and emotional healing.
You’ll find my sessions warm, honest, and confidential, a safe place where you can express yourself freely and feel genuinely heard. Together, we’ll identify your goals, explore what’s getting in the way, and build practical ways to move forward.
I offer teletherapy sessions (Care.headway.co) so you can access support in the way that feels most comfortable for you.
Affiliations: American Counseling Association (ACA), California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), American Association of Anger Management Providers (AAAMP).
I look forward to helping you explore patterns, rediscover hope, and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.
