Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed psychologist, certified school psychologist, and entrepreneur who serves children, young adults, and families impacted by ADHD and/or autism by providing evaluations, therapy, parent coaching, and professional consultation and training. Even greater than these professional titles, are my distinctions as a mom of three AND a woman living with ADHD.

Being a mom can be hard enough, but being a mom who has ADHD takes on a life of its own. We struggle with housekeeping, managing our kids and their schedules, partner relationships, and family finances...IN ADDITION to our own jobs, time management and organization, and serving our communities.

My therapy services are for women with ADHD, especially moms, who want to improve their thinking skills and self-control. My aim is to help my clients live more organized and fulfilling lives by tackling the challenges of ADHD.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Women with an ADHD diagnosis often face the challenge of finding a professional who can provide appropriate treatment. While the number of clinicians experienced in treating adult ADHD is growing, it can still be difficult to find a professional who takes the challenges women face into consideration while managing treatment.

ADHD-focused therapies address a broad range of issues, including self-esteem, interpersonal and family issues, daily health habits, daily stress levels, and life management skills. These interventions are often referred to as “neurocognitive psychotherapy,” which combines cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) with cognitive rehabilitation techniques. CBT focuses on psychological issues related to ADHD, such as self-esteem, self-acceptance, and self-blame. The cognitive rehabilitation approach focuses on life management skills for improving cognitive functions (e.g., remembering, reasoning, understanding, problem solving), learning strategies, and restructuring environments.

What you can expect from our first session

In my sessions, I help clients change negative thoughts and behaviors that make ADHD symptoms worse. We also work on improving skills like attention, memory, and planning through specific exercises. I use different techniques, such as teaching about ADHD, setting goals, planning, managing time, and organizing tasks. I also teach mindfulness and stress management to help with emotions and anxiety.
