Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Addictions Professional with over 20 years of experience in both military and civilian settings. I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship stress, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions.

I specialize in helping couples reconnect when communication breaks down and emotional distance builds. I also support individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns they can’t seem to change.

My approach is collaborative and straightforward, using evidence-based methods like Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I help you understand your patterns while giving you practical tools to create real, lasting change.

Clients often say they feel both supported and challenged in our work. I’m engaged, honest, and focused on helping you move forward with clarity and intention.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, structured, and insight-driven. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—I tailor the work to your needs, goals, and pace.

I primarily use Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In practice, that means we’ll explore the emotional patterns driving your experiences while also identifying unhelpful thought and behavior cycles that keep you stuck. I balance deeper emotional work with practical tools you can apply in your daily life.

With couples, I focus on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and helping partners understand the underlying emotions beneath conflict. With individuals, I help you make sense of recurring patterns, manage anxiety or overwhelm, and move toward meaningful change.

My style is engaged, direct, and supportive. I’ll challenge you when needed, but always with the goal of helping you gain clarity, build resilience, and create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a structured but comfortable conversation focused on understanding what brings you in and what you want to get out of therapy. I’ll ask questions to get a clear picture of your current concerns, relevant history, and patterns that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing.

We’ll also begin identifying goals so you leave with a sense of direction—not just “talking,” but a plan for where we’re going. You can expect me to be engaged, ask thoughtful questions, and help you start making connections early on.

My goal is to create a space that feels supportive, honest, and focused. You don’t have to have everything figured out—that’s what we’ll work through together. By the end of the session, you should feel heard, clearer about next steps, and confident in the process moving forward.
