Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) as well as a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) with over 45 years in the mental health field. My therapeutic style is based in Reality Therapy where the goal is to find out what a person truly wants, and help them get there. I love working with teenagers and young adults who are struggling to navigate the world around them. Working with those person who struggle with substance use has always been a passion of mine.

My approach to therapy

I believe that everyone has strengths and that often those get hidden by obstacles in our path. Our thought process and what we focus our energy on tends to rule how we feel and behave. Our past sometimes sabotages our future when we continue in the same paths we have always walked. When our feelings and our behaviors are not what we want, it often takes someone else with skill and empathy to explore and process what is really going on.

What you can expect from me

I utilize compassion, humor and straight forward conversation to come alongside my clients to help them find the answers within themselves in order to live their best lives. My clients report feeling more relaxed, more positive and able to see things from different perspectives after our sessions.
