Great to meet you!

Finding the right psychiatric provider is about more than credentials. You want someone who will listen, take your concerns seriously, and help you understand what is going on without making you feel rushed or judged.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of healthcare experience. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep concerns, stress, and life transitions. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish.

My approach is simple: I want to understand your story, not just your symptoms. I take time to explain your options, answer your questions, and include you in decisions about your care. One of the compliments I value most is, “You actually listened.” That is the kind of experience I want every patient and family to have.

My approach to therapy

My approach is personalized and holistic because mental health is rarely about just one thing. I take time to understand what you are going through, what may be contributing to it, and what you want help with. I believe lasting emotional well being often comes from using several tools together, including medication when appropriate, psychotherapy, healthy sleep, adequate nutrition, exercise, social connection, and mindfulness techniques.

I use these tools along with other evidence based approaches to help you feel better, build resilience, regain a sense of balance, and feel more hopeful about moving forward. When appropriate, I also work closely with an experienced licensed therapist to provide a more connected approach to your care. My goal is for you to feel heard, understand your options, and feel more confident and in control of your mental health.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is a chance for us to really understand what has been going on and how it is affecting your life. We will talk about your concerns, your health history, and what you would like to see improve. You do not need to have everything figured out before you come in.

I believe good mental health care goes beyond managing symptoms. I want to understand the different factors that may be contributing to how you feel and help you find an approach that works for you. Together, we will create a treatment plan focused not only on helping you feel better, but also on helping you function better, build resilience, and get back to enjoying your life.
