Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, adolescents, young adults, and families through challenging life experiences. I understand that opening up to someone you’ve never met can feel intimidating, and my goal is to create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe sharing your story. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, complex trauma, relationship struggles, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions that can leave people feeling stuck or uncertain about how to move forward.

My experience includes working in private practice and community-based settings with adolescents and young adults who may be at risk or navigating difficult family dynamics, identity development, stress, and trauma-related challenges. I have also trained in play therapy and incorporate developmentally appropriate techniques when working with younger clients. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the Tulane University School of Social Work and strongly believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of meaningful change. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, and walking my little black dog, Buddy!

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is psychodynamic and person-centered, meaning we work together to better understand the deeper patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be influencing your current challenges. Many clients come to therapy experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, unresolved trauma, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands. Together, we explore how past experiences, emotional patterns, and current stressors may be affecting your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships today.

I aim to be authentic, relatable, and emotionally present in sessions while tailoring interventions to your specific needs. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, so I work flexibly and collaboratively to help you build insight, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop healthier ways of coping with difficult experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward lasting growth.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic connection. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you may currently be facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. Many clients come to therapy feeling nervous, unsure, or overwhelmed, and my goal is to make the first session feel welcoming, conversational, and comfortable.

During this time, we will begin identifying your goals for therapy and discussing possible approaches that may help address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or stress related to life transitions. This initial meeting helps us determine how we can best work together moving forward. My hope is that you leave the session feeling heard, supported, and more hopeful about the path ahead.
