Great to meet you!

I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and over 30 years of experience specializing in the treatment of complex trauma, grief, life transitions, identity issues, anxiety, chronic pain, stress, depression, intimacy issues, sexual health, LGBTQ issues, and more. I can help you identify and correct longstanding patterns in your life that leave you dissatisfied or feeling like you are not living up to your potential.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is a journey with an attuned other who can help guide you through self-exploration towards growth. Clients who would benefit from working with me include those who are interested in achieving a life-work-parenting-partnering balance, one that involves mindfulness, present-focus and an emphasis on physical well being. I work with you from a place of cultural awareness and respect. I learn from you what approach will work best depending on your needs and preferences. I am able to offer solutions- based approaches, psychodynamic approaches, and I offer EMDR for trauma processing as appropriate.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I will be be listening for what brought you to therapy NOW, and we will address pressing needs and get to know one another. I will want to know if you have had therapy in the past and how that experience helped you or wasn't as fulfilling as you had hoped. In addition to gathering relevant history we will discuss whether or not we are a good fit and develop some preliminary goals.
