Hello! My name is Janette Ruano. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Los Angeles County, California. I provide Telehealth services for children, adolescents, and adults throughout the state of California. I specialize in depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma.
I utilize various evidence-based practices throughout my practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and elements of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I tailor each session based on each client’s unique needs.
Together, we will identify and set goals that matter to you to obtain the best experience possible in our therapeutic sessions. We explore setting long-term goals to ensure the client and I are clear with what the client wants to achieve after therapeutic sessions end as well as short-term goals that are specific and achievable. I also explore with the client if adjustments to the short-term goals are needed throughout treatment.
