Great to meet you!

Life can be challenging, and there are times when the weight of grief, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or relationship struggles can feel overwhelming. You may find yourself feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Whatever has brought you to therapy, you don't have to face it alone.

I'm Janice Hutchason, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through life's most difficult seasons. I primarily work with adults who are navigating grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe that every person has a unique story, and therapy should be tailored to meet your individual needs. My approach is person-centered, meaning I focus on building a genuine therapeutic relationship based on trust, compassion, and respect. I strive to create a space where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.

Together, we will explore the challenges you're facing, identify your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you cope with life's difficulties. Whether you're working through a painful loss, struggling with anxiety or depression, feeling isolated, or experiencing difficulties in your relationships, I will walk alongside you as you move toward healing and growth.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don't need to have all the answers before you begin. Our first sessions will focus on understanding your experiences, your goals, and what support looks like for you. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel safe enough to be yourself, gain clarity about what's holding you back, and discover new ways to move forward with confidence.

Healing is not about having all the answers—it's about taking one step at a time toward hope, growth, and a life that feels more fulfilling. If you're ready to begin that journey, I would be honored to support you along the way.
