Great to meet you!

I know it can feel overwhelming to scroll through profile after profile trying to find someone who truly gets you. I’ve spent nearly 25 years working with children, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds, and it’s been a privilege to walk alongside people as they heal and grow. I tailor therapy to your needs, goals, and personality. I’m trauma-informed and experienced with depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, autism, foster care involvement, Adult Protective Services cases, and school or behavior challenges. I use play therapy with younger kids and relational, integrative approaches with teens and adults.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy begins with relationship. I see our work as a genuine connection and a place to learn new ways of relating to yourself and others. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach—our work will be shaped around your personality, experiences, goals, and the pace you’re comfortable with. I’m trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and experienced supporting clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, including families involved with foster care and adult protective services, as well as people navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or major life transitions. With younger clients, I often integrate play therapy and play-based approaches to help them explore emotions in developmentally appropriate ways. Therapy with me is collaborative—if something isn’t working, we’ll adjust together so you can continue growing toward healing. I also offer in-home sessions when appropriate for clients within about a 45-mile radius of Killeen.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to make our first session feel safe, comfortable, and grounded. I often think of it like going swimming—some people cannonball straight into the deep end, while others sit at the edge and dip a toe in until they’re ready. However you begin, I’ll match your pace. I take a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally sensitive approach with children, teens, and adults, including people navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, or complex family situations. Our first session is simply about getting to know you, understanding what you’re carrying, and creating a space where you can breathe, settle in, and feel supported. And I’ll let you in on a little secret: even after nearly 25 years, I still feel a bit nervous in first sessions too—beginnings can feel uncertain for everyone. That’s okay. We’ll move through this together.
