Great to meet you!
Hi, I'm Jannet Martinez Chavira, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am a Latina, daughter of immigrants, first-generation, bilingual and bicultural therapist, and mother. My own experiences have taught me how deeply our culture, family, relationships, and life experiences can influence the way we understand ourselves and the world around us.
I know that seeking therapy can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable, especially when you come from a family or culture where talking about emotions or asking for help may not always feel natural. I want therapy to be a place where you don't have to choose between honoring where you come from and taking care of yourself.
My style is compassionate, honest, and collaborative. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and personal growth. I believe therapy is not about telling you what you should do, but about helping you understand yourself, identify what you need, and make choices that align with the life you want.
Most importantly, I want you to feel seen, heard, and respected for the person you are, not just the challenges that brought you to therapy.
