Great to meet you!

Twenty years in, and I still find this work genuinely interesting. That probably says something about how much I care about getting it right. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-S) working with adolescents, young adults, and the military community across school settings, community mental health, and private practice. I bring directness, genuine warmth, and yes, humor when it fits. Therapy doesn't have to be heavy and stiff to be effective.

My approach to therapy

Strengths-based and solution-focused. That means we spend less time cataloging what's wrong and more time building from what's already working. I draw on CBT, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy, tailored to what actually fits you, not a one-size-fits-all formula. You're the expert on your own life. I help you use that expertise more effectively.

What you can expect from me

Honestly? A real conversation. I'll ask about what brought you in, what you've already tried, and what you actually want your life to look like. No lengthy intake forms read back to you, no awkward silences. By the end of the first session you'll have a clear sense of whether we're a good fit, and I'll always be honest with you if I think someone else might serve you better.
