Great to meet you!

I bring a calm, steady, and thoughtful presence to the work. Clients often describe me as warm, gently humorous, and intellectually grounded. My practice is shaped by the teachings and wisdom of the Catholic faith, especially its understanding of the human person as a unity of body and soul, created for meaning and made for eternity. I find that many people of faith or traditional backgrounds want a therapist who respects those commitments and won’t dismiss or pathologize them.

I work especially well with anxiety, scrupulosity, family strain, and questions that sit at the crossroads of faith and daily life. I’m not drawn to trends or spiritual fads — I prefer a more timeless, human approach to healing — but clients of any or no religious background are also welcome. Above all, I want you to have a therapeutic space where you feel understood, respected, and able to explore the deeper parts of your story without pressure.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, conversational, and oriented toward depth rather than quick fixes. I draw from ACT, logotherapy, narrative therapy, and a style influenced by psychoanalytic thought. Much of my work helps clients find meaning, cultivate virtue, and walk the “middle way” when life feels polarized or overwhelming.

Faith can be part of treatment if you want it to be. I don’t proselytize, and I let clients set the pace, but I’m deeply familiar with Catholic theology and spirituality and can offer light guidance or reliable resources when it aligns with your goals. At every stage, I see therapy as attending to the whole person — body and soul — and helping you move toward clarity, freedom, and interior steadiness.

What you can expect from me

The first session is warm, welcoming, and low-pressure. I know many people — especially those from faith-based or traditional backgrounds — come in feeling uncertain about whether a therapist will understand them. So we begin by simply getting to know one another.

The intake is conversational, not rigid. I’ll ask about what brings you in, any hopes or concerns you have, and what you want therapy to look like. We’ll talk about how I work, how faith or values might fit into the process (if you choose), and what the next steps are. My goal is for you to leave the first session with a sense of clarity, steadiness, and the feeling that you have space here to be fully yourself.
