Jaritsa Ruiz

Hello! I am a bilingual (English-Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 19 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including schools, group homes, medical settings, and programs supporting survivors of human trafficking. My experience has allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds and at different stages of life. I have experience supporting clients through anxiety, grief and loss, stress, relationship and family concerns, self-esteem, and major life changes.

I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to be yourself and talk openly about what is going on in your life. My style is supportive, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I want my clients to feel heard and understood, but I also believe in helping them work through the things that may be keeping them stuck.

Everyone comes to therapy with different experiences and needs, so I adjust my approach based on the person and what they are going through. During our sessions, we will talk through what is happening, look at patterns that may be affecting you, and work on realistic ways to handle challenges in your everyday life.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to therapy, and identify what you would like to work on. Together, we’ll begin setting goals and creating a plan that feels right for you.
