My approach is not just talk therapy - I value myself as a skills based therapist who will not only listen empathetically, but will also provide techniques and life-long tools that’ll get you unstuck! I am trained and specialize in DBT and often use it in sessions. I also utilize CBT, solution-focused and EMDR.
The first session is all about getting to know you as a person. I want to know what you’re needing help with, I like to get a good “picture” of your life, and we always discuss expectations of therapy. I allow you to set your own realistic goals and input on how we can get there.
