Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in mental health care, including work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and I bring a holistic, culturally affirming approach to every session. Clients working with me can expect a grounded, compassionate presence that meets them where they are without judgment. My goal is to partner with you in building emotional wellness, clarity, and long-term tools for healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in active listening and genuine connection. I take the time to truly hear you, not just your symptoms, but your story. Using my clinical training, I help identify patterns in thoughts, behaviors, or emotions that may be contributing to challenges in your life. We talk through those patterns together with curiosity and compassion, not judgment.

When it’s helpful, I’ll offer tools or strategies, but I always center what works best for you, your pace, your goals, and your lifestyle. My goal is to support clarity, healing, and forward movement in a way that feels affirming, and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

During our first appointment, I’ll conduct a thorough psychiatric evaluation where we’ll talk about who you are, how you’ve been feeling, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’re hoping to get out of care. I’ll ask about your history, symptoms, lifestyle, and strengths to help me get the full picture.

My approach is evidence-based, but I also lean on lived experience, empathy, and real-world perspective. I believe healing happens when care feels both professional and human. I’ll offer recommendations that take into account your needs, values, and readiness for change. Together, we’ll explore whether those options feel right for you and discuss a path forward whether that includes medication, therapy referrals, lifestyle changes, or simply space to be heard and understood.

In general, clients can expect a space that is safe, collaborative, and tailored to their individual needs. Whether we’re discussing medication, stress management, or deeper emotional patterns, I aim to help you feel empowered, understood, and supported on your mental health journey. We work at your pace and focus on what matters most to you.
