Great to meet you!

I became a therapist because I believe there is so much more behind our behaviors, emotions, and relationships than what people see on the surface. I especially enjoy working with clients who are trying to make sense of who they are, where they come from, and how their experiences have shaped the way they move through the world.

I love helping younger clients express things they may not yet have the words for. I also work with adults navigating grief, anxiety, life transitions, identity, family relationships, and the experience of growing up between different cultures, expectations, or generations. I have a particular interest in supporting first-generation individuals and clients from immigrant and multicultural families as they navigate belonging, family expectations, relationships, and creating an identity that feels like their own.

My approach to therapy

y approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to help them better understand what they are experiencing, identify patterns that may no longer be serving them, and develop tools that feel realistic and meaningful outside of the therapy room.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Adlerian therapy, EMDR, and other evidence-based approaches depending on each client's needs and goals. When working with children, I incorporate play and developmentally appropriate activities to give them ways to communicate and process emotions beyond simply sitting and talking.

I also value understanding the larger context of a client's life, including family relationships, culture, identity, and important life experiences. Therapy with me is not about telling you what to do. It is about creating a supportive space where we can be curious together, build insight, practice new skills, and work toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. I will ask about what has been happening in your life, what you would like support with, and what you hope might feel different as a result of therapy. We may also talk about important relationships, past experiences, strengths, and anything else that helps me better understand you as a whole person.

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or having everything figured out. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable, and you are always welcome to ask questions about the therapy process.

For parents bringing a child to therapy, the first session also helps us understand your concerns, your child's strengths and needs, and what you have been noticing at home, school, or in relationships. Together, we will begin identifying goals and discussing what treatment may look like moving forward.

My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of what we can begin working on together.
