I am an empathetic provider with a passion for women's mental health. This is why I am a dual certified nurse practitioner in both women's health and psychiatric mental health. Women have unique life experiences and challenges. I have seen first hand the need for increased mental health access for women. I believe one of the most empowering things we can do for ourselves is to take care of our mind!
My roles in this capacity is to evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions. I can prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications. Although medication is not always the answer, medication can be an invaluable tool on your mental health journey if used appropriately. My goal is to use shared decision making that is driven by you! Together, we can determine if medication is the right choice. If you are ready for that step we will work together to find what works best for you. If not, we can discuss alternative treatment options, and I can assist with resources.
Your first visit is all about me getting to know you. I want to know your history, concerns, and what led you to reach out. Most importantly, I want to make sure we are the right fit for each other. I want you to feel comfortable in this vulnerable time. We can start to discuss possible diagnosis, medication options, or resources for other options if desired.
