Great to meet you!
I've gathered that the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health of an individual is essential to the overall well-being of a person's soul. I also believe it is an individual's true understanding, not condemning, of how those components interweave, that lead to a gratitude and grace for all things naturally connected to the human experience.
I received my Bachelors degree in Human and environmental Sciences from University of Missouri-Columbia in and my Graduate degree from Saint Louis University in Clinical Social Work. I took time in between my school experience to gain real world experience where I worked in various settings including, but limited to a youth case manager, school social worker/counselor, hospital social worker, and a group leader/advocate for women in substance abuse. Those previously mentioned experiences allowed me to gain rich exposure to issues concerning women, adolescents, young men, and families spanning across various lifestyles and societal identities.
It is because of those rich experiences that I learned by niche and now specialize in treating complex trauma(EMDR certified), anxiety, depression, grief/loss, IPV, and life transitions. I also work with chronic mental health diagnoses, schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders, and co-occurring disorders. I currently utilize the following interventions: CBT, DBT, EMDR, MI, holistic mind and body, mindfulness, CFT, and family systems.
