Great to meet you!

My name is Jasmine Cepeda, LCSW. With over 13 years of clinical experience, my therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in helping folks process difficult transitions and painful emotions. Whether you're carrying unresolved wounds from the past, feeling distressed by your current relationships, or experiencing social or existential dread, I’m here to help you make sense of your experience.

My therapeutic practice focuses on helping people understand and work with emotional and relational patterns that continue to show up in present life. In therapy, we work with what is happening in the present moment, emotionally, physically, relationally, and environmentally, so these patterns can begin to shift into a more grounded & integrated sense of self.

My approach to therapy

My main specializations are: 1. Grief & Loss: helping you move through losses of all kinds, including the passing of a loved one, (including pet loss), the end of a relationship (including break-up or divorce), the loss of a job or role, the difficulty of a "lost childhood" due to trauma or other stressors, living with chronic illness or pain, climate anxiety, earth-grief, death-anxiety, & existential anxiety/dread.

2. Rebuilding Self-Worth & Self-Esteem After Trauma: supporting you in reclaiming your self-compassion, confidence, and identity following traumatic, overwhelming, or destabilizing experiences of suffering, including relationship rupture or societal betrayal.

3. Emotional regulation skills: helping you increase your capacity to tolerate and move through difficult emotional states without becoming overwhelmed, shutting down, or becoming self-critical, while incorporating mindfulness practices and connection with nature to support grounding, presence, and restoration.

4. Dream Work: supporting you in exploring and processing your dreams, a timeless and deeply human form of knowing and meaning-making that has existed across cultures and throughout history.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and safe space where we'll begin to explore the reasons you're seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. It's an opportunity for us to get acquainted and for me to gain an understanding of your personal history, current challenges, and goals.
