Great to meet you!

Hello, My name is Jasmine. I am a licensed Clinical Social worker in New York with over 20 years of professional experience. I have a background in helping clients with relationship issues; early childhood mental health; teen counseling and support; challenges around parenting; and coping with life changes. In terms of my approach broadly, I believe that you are the author of your own story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.

I work alongside you to determine what “better” looks and feels like in your life and propose a stepwise approach to achieving that sense of better. I believe that goals should feel both attainable and measurable. I recognize that there are several times in therapy where it’s necessary to course correct and to reevaluate goals in order to create new ones. I welcome this fluid and generative process.

In terms of areas of focus, I work with a range of clients from adults to young children and adolescents. I am comfortable supporting those dealing with depression, attachment issues, anxiety, communication challenges, the impact of divorce and separation on children, and struggles with fertility.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a customized approach to care. After assessing clients, the modalities that I often choose from include narrative therapy, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and DBT.

What you can expect from me

I am intentional about creating a warm and welcoming space for clients to explore challenging and often painful issues without judgment. I mindfully co-create and hold a space where transformation can happen and hope can be sustained. I position myself as a thought partner who supports the client throughout the growth and discovery process. I have been described as present, warm, supportive, and insightful.

During sessions, you can expect to feel welcome and unconditionally accepted. We will talk about your needs and my holistic approach. You can expect to find a listening ear, support, and a knowledgeable partner who will help you to reach your goals at your own pace.
